Absorption chillers
van Spall are now able to offer a wide range of absorption chillers as part of the ‘Total Cooling Solution’. Instead of the conventional electrical driven chiller, the absorption chiller uses waste heat generated from CHP systems, flue gases and steam, to produce chilled water. There are many applications for these chillers in today’s energy conscious world:-
- Chemical industry
- Commercial buildings
- Hospitals
- Dairy & confectionery
- Universities
- Electronics
- Hotels
- Paper & Pulp
- Textiles
- Steel
- Refineries
- Pharmaceuticals
Hot Water Driven Absorption Chillers
The COGENIE range of chillers are available with capacities from 70 kW(20TR) to 281Kw(210TR) and can achieve chilled water temperatures down to 4.5 deg C. And operates on hot water temperatures from 70 deg C -110 deg C The chiller is supplied ready for site installation and has a factory fitted and tested PLC based control system
The chillers are ideally suited for CHP applications – see brochure for features and typical schematics
In addition these chillers care available from van Spall skid mounted with condenser water and chilled water pumps fitted. Contact our Sales department for details
Exhaust Gas Driven Absorption Chillers
The ED range of chillers are ideally suited for use with:-
- Diesel and gas engines from 200kW-6000kW
- Turbines 1MW– 6MW
- Industrial processes and ceramic ovens etc
When used with diesel and gas engines, the heat from the engine jacket water can also be recovered and used by the chiller to give high efficiency rates.
